With your trade visitor pass you will receive free tickets for the individual screenings at the cinema box office. Very important: Please take a free ticket for each film block.
A general note for all those who are available to talk to you about your film: Please report to the NaturVision Festival Info 15 minutes before the programme starts.
Please also note that this year our Open Air will once again take place on the newly redesigned Arsenalplatz in the centre of Ludwigsburg.

Opening of the NaturVision Film Festival with the multi-nominated film ‘Wild Greenland - Ice World in Transition’, in the presence of director Lars Pfeiffer.
Following the ceremony, we cordially invite you to a relaxed get-together at the new bistro on Arsenalplatz - with refreshing drinks and selected organic snacks from the region - a great opportunity to celebrate, meet and network.
Thursday, 26 June 2025 | 11:00 a.m.
We meet at the information desk and visit sites in the cultural and creative city of Ludwigsburg together. At the palace, we will take part in a guided tour on the theme of the wonderful world of plants.

The live show by climate journalist Louisa Schneider is a real inspiration for anyone who wants to gain new perspectives on the climate crisis.
Friday, 27 June 2025 | 11:00 a.m.
We meet at 11 a.m. at the information desk at Central Film theater and visit the Film- und Fernseh-Labor Ludiwgsburg GmbH & Co. KG. Award-winning documentary narrative films such as KASH KASH and MORIA SIX were produced here. Afterwards, the Kokolores Creative Collective Ludwigsburg will introduce itself. This is an association of local creative professionals supported by the city of Ludwigsburg and the MFG BW.

Our 12th small science competition about nature and sustainability, in which the hearts of the audience are won with fast-paced short presentations. Because in the end, the audience decides who leaves the stage as the winner.
Please pick up tickets in advance at the box office in the Central Filmtheater on presentation of your professional visitor's pass.

Filmmakers have the option of presenting their new project to experts/producers/editors. If you would like to apply with a project, please send a short description to festival@natur-vision.org by 8 June 2025. The text should not exceed one DIN A4 page. Content should include: short synopsis, directors/producers intention, format and budget ideas. Download a template here.
Experts/producers:
Ivo Filatsch
As Senior Producer at Terra Mater Factual Studios, Vienna, Ivo's focus is on producing high-quality documentaries on natural history, science and history topics for the international market. Ivo also works for the Terra Mater series on Servus TV. Before joining Terra Mater Factual Studios in 2026, Ivo worked as an editor, writer and director in the science department of ORF since 1992.
Simon Riedel
With a degree in biology, Simon Riedel has worked in various roles in film and media since 2026, including as an editor at “Galileo - das ProSieben Wissensmagazin”. Since 2014 he has been working in Hamburg at Doclights GmbH / NDR Naturfilm, first as a junior producer and since 2016 as a producer and executive producer for Expeditionen ins Tierreich, among others.
Mariette Rissenbeek
Producer and media manager Mariette Rissenbeek was Managing Director of the Berlin International Film Festival from 2019 to 2024 and has been working as a freelance film producer and jury member since 2025. After almost ten years at Tobis Filmverleih in Berlin, Mariette switched to film production in 1995 before taking over public relations and festival work at German Films, the foreign representation of German film, in 2003 and subsequently becoming managing director.
Valentin Thurn
Producer and director Valentin Thurn became internationally renowned with “Taste the Waste - Global Food Waste” and “10 Billion - How can we feed everyone?” Both cinema documentaries were big hits with audiences and won numerous awards at home and abroad. At the same time, the books “Die Essensvernichter” (Spiegel bestseller) and “Harte Kost” were published.
With his production company ThurnFilm GmbH, he has produced over 60 documentaries in the last 20 years, mainly for ARD, ZDF and ARTE, as well as several international co-productions.
Beatrix Wesle
As a producer and media manager, Beatrix Wesle was managing director of the production and distribution company Menemsha European Films GmbH, Atrix Films GmbH from 2004 to 2016 and was an associate at the media company Sola Media GmbH, which specializes in animated films, before moving to SRF Schweizer Fernsehen. As a documentary film and financing specialist, she accompanied a large number of national and international productions. She has been Managing Director of NaturVision Ludwigsburg gGmbH since 2023.

The award ceremony starts at 6 pm with a champagne reception at the cinema.
Dana Hoffmann will guide us through the award ceremony in the evening. We keep our fingers crossed for all nominees and look forward to a wonderful evening!
After the ceremony, a relaxed get-together with drinks and delicious treats awaits you in front of and inside the State Archives.
As part of the redesign of the Arsenalplatz, the NaturVision Film Festival offers you a relaxed bistro atmosphere at the new kiosk on the square and in the nearby Café Cup and Bowl.

Die Filmteams von Off The Mark, Scars Of Growth und Wolken über Lützerath sprechen in Wachstum, Widerstand, Wandel über den Kampf um Rohstoffe.
Die Umweltethikerin Dr. Uta Eser diskutiert mit dem ehem. Leiter des Wildtierinstituts an der Forstlichen Versuchs- und Forschungsanstalt Baden-Württemberg Dr. Rudi Suchant die bioethisch relevante Frage: Wie weit darf Artenschutz gehen?
Live-Talks mit Fachexpert*innenCornelius Eich (Boris Herrmann – Segeln am Limit) ist Head of Partnership and Sustainability für das Team Malizia. Der Leitspruch seines Teams lautet: A race we must win. Wie lässt sich Hochleistungssegelsport mit Klimaschutz verbinden?
Naturrechte und Indigene Lebenswelten im Film lautet das Thema von Benjamin Hindrichs (Daru/n), Maik Gleitsmann-Frohriep und Carmela Daza (beide Territorio Puloui).
