For the first time, we, the NaturVision Hallo Ludwigsburg audience jury, had the privilege of selecting a winner from 12 nominated films. Given the high quality and diversity of the films, this was no easy task. The winning film managed to captivate us with its visually powerful yet restrained presentation. Through the interplay of outstanding camerawork, atmospheric background music and evocative staging, it creates a unique magic. It adopts an unconventional perspective and we observe not only the animals, but also the process of creating this unique documentary and its makers. With devoted patience, the filmmakers slowly and whisperingly insert themselves into the world of the wolves. We would like to honour this profound consummate work with this award.
