After much discussion, two films were shortlisted, both of which are very successful, but convey their highly topical content in completely different ways.
It was particularly important to us that the film should make us viewers think. The winning film does this to a great extent thanks to its depth of content and polarising statements.
In addition, the film manages to bring the mood and emotional worlds of the protagonists vividly to life. The music, editing and image composition are often perfectly coordinated, making the film aesthetically very appealing.

This year’s Youth Jury Award goes to the film Bis hierhin und wie weiter? [Stick together] by Felix Maria Bühler.
