Claudia Schmitt
Claudia Schmitt is a filmmaker, author and, above all, an underwater camerawoman. As co-owner of the production company "The Jetlagged", she now works primarily for major German production companies. She has filmed with them in various locations around the world and has already realised several top-class documentaries, such as "Good News from the Planet", "Hans Hass - Pioneer of the Deep", "The Beach" and others. Her films have won awards at numerous international film festivals.
After leaving school, Claudia Schmitt trained as a media designer and studied film studies in Berlin. Her great passion for nature and the oceans led her to diving in 2008.
Prof. Dr. Lars Krogmann
Prof. Dr Lars Krogmann is an internationally recognised entomologist who researches the evolutionary basis of the extreme biodiversity of insects. The entomologist is primarily dedicated to the discovery and description of new species.
He teaches Biological Systematics at the University of Hohenheim.
He has been Scientific Director and Head of the State Museum of Natural History in Stuttgart since 2022. The museum is one of the most important natural history research museums in Europe. With a focus on excellent and internationally networked evolutionary and biodiversity research, it works on solutions to the species and climate crisis.
Simona Gleridis
After studying media design, Simona Gleridis worked in various media and TV production companies as a creative director and producer
Since 2023, she has headed the Communications department at the Natural History Museum Stuttgart in tandem. Under the motto "On behalf of diversity", she and her team ensure diverse and participatory exhibition, education and public relations work. The focus is on communicating knowledge about natural history topics and the museum's own research findings in a way that is appropriate for the media and target groups, with a focus on biodiversity.
Axel Wagner
Axel Wagner is a qualified biologist and science journalist. He is an editor for science documentaries at SWR and has produced numerous films in front of and behind the camera on environmental, climate and nature topics over the past twenty years. He is also a lecturer and founding member of the National Institute for Science Communication (NaWik), which is committed to improving dialogue with society.
