In my opinion, it is important to take care of our environment and make people aware that things cannot go on like this. Justice is very important to me personally, but not just justice for people, but also justice for all the animals and animal species that we are endangering by acting irresponsibly.

Nature is both a place of retreat and motivation for me. Being out there with a camera and my dog is inspiring in many ways. I am particularly fascinated by the animal world. At the same time, I am very concerned about the devastating prospects of issues such as biodiversity and global warming. Images can move people much more than words, so I think that film and photography can make a big contribution to rethinking society, in addition to directly protecting the environment and resources. I like to help where I can and want to play my part in making a positive change in the world.

I am involved in the Stuttgart Youth Council in order to bring young perspectives into the political discourse. My work as a youth councillor gives me the opportunity to no longer just view politics as an outsider, but to become a part of it myself. As a film lover with a keen interest in sustainability and nature, the opportunity to take part in the youth jury seemed very attractive to me. This is a completely new experience for me and I am excited to see what lies ahead. I have been fascinated by the beauty of nature since I was a child. However, it wasn't until later, through school lessons and the increasing media presence of climate change, that I realised that there is an extremely sophisticated and fragile system behind it. Since then, I have become increasingly interested in environmental issues and try to keep educating myself in this area.

I am on the youth council to stand up for young people. We represent the interests of young people and implement their concerns. This also includes programmes such as the youth jury. The youth jury has already been a great opportunity to take part in cultural events in Ludwigsburg twice. I love watching the nature films and enjoy the jury's perspective. Evaluating films according to criteria, discussing them and connecting over films - I find all that incomparable about the youth jury. I also like the theme of the jury and the festival: environment and nature. As a young person, I have to deal with the topic of the environment and nature. Climate change threatens our future in an incomparable way. Nature and its treasures are particularly affected. I want to experience nature through outdoor activities and nature films as long as this is possible.

Being part of the youth jury gives me the opportunity to represent a young person's perspective on the topics of nature, the environment and climate, which are important to me because they are an essential part of human existence.
