Hanan Saeed Abdo fled with her family from northern Iraq to Germany. When the family crossed the Mediterranean in an inflatable boat in 2015, the boat almost sank.
Hanan was afraid of the water for a long time. But today, she and her brother give swimming lessons to small children. She is determined not to let her traumatic memories take away her lust for life.
